Police looking for man who robbed gas station Thursday morning

Toms River Police Officer Nate Williams responded to the Hess station on Hooper Avenue just after 630 a.m. Thursday morning reference a possible robbery of the service station attendant.

Investigation found that a white male  in his late 40’s pulled into the station and asked change for a one hundred dollar bill and $25 worth of gas.  After refueling the suspect’s vehicle the attendant went to give the suspect change but the suspect then quickly grabbed the money in the attendants hand and drove off.

The suspect had a light grey beard, and a gold hoop in his left ear, and stole about $150 from the attendant.  The suspect was operating a silver Toyota possible a Rav 4 with a possible partial plate “KST”.   Detective Glen Lucas is also investigating and is requesting anyone with information contact him at 349-0150 ext 1218.
