Police arrest Toms River bank robbery suspect

Toms River Police announced the arrest of Raymond Rush 47 of 1182 Wake Forest Drive Toms River as a result of the investigation into the robbery of the Sovereign Bank on Fischer Blvd. 340 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.  Toms River Police were assisted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department,  Seaside Heights Police Department, and the Red Bank Office of the FBI.

Toms River Detectives Randy Petrick, Glenn Lucas along with the Departments emergency services unit and the FBI arrested Mr. Rush at his home without incident 11 a.m. on Thursday.  He is currently lodged in the Ocean County on $100,000 no 10 %.

Detective Petrick wants to thank the numerous residents who contacted the Department with information that assisted with this investigation.
