Jackson teen robbed at gun point on Cedar Swamp Road

On Sunday May 22, 2011 at approximately 12:03 am, Jackson Police Officers responded to the area of Cedar Swamp Road (527) and East Pleasant Grove Road on a report regarding an armed robbery which had just happened.

Multiple officers responded to check the area for suspects and to check on the victim.

The victim was a 19 year old female who reported that she was walking in the area and observed a gold or brown Ford Taurus pass her several times.

When she began to walk onto East Pleasant Grove Road from Cedar Swamp Road, the vehicle returned and a passenger exited the car and approached her.  As she attempted to walk away from the car, the suspect pursued her and caught up to her.  This suspect brandished a black handgun which he put to the victim’s head and took her purse from her.  He then instructed her to run into some nearby woods as he went back to the car.  The Ford Taurus was last seen fleeing the area south on Cedar Swamp Road.

Suspects were described as:

Suspect 1 (driver)- black male wearing a white, striped shirt.

Suspect 2 (passenger)- black male, medium to muscular build, 5’8″-6’0″

tall, unknown facial hair, wearing a red baggy tee shirt, blue jeans and a red fitted baseball hat.

The vehicle was described as a gold or brown Ford Taurus, unknown registration.  The vehicle and suspect description appears to be consistent with those of an armed robbery reported on May 20th in Lakewood.
