Surveillance video captures break-in at Geno D’s Restaurant in Toms River

Toms River Police responded to an alarm  just after 3 a.m. on Sunday morning at Geno D’s Restaurant located  at 189 Route  70.  The owner responded and with police,  believed there was an attempted burglary to the rear of the business.  Later Sunday morning after reviewing security video it was determined a white male subject actually pried open the rear door and entered the establishment and fled in a small white vehicle after realizing he activated the alarm system.   It was also learned that prior to this burglary he apparently entered three other nearby business.   The New Look By Lena Hair Studio was entered taking no proceeds but causing $150 in damage.  Above all  Hair was entered and $75 was removed from a register.

In the video, a man armed with a crow bar crouches around behind the counter looking for a safe or cash register before opening drawers and coming up empty handed.   Afterwards, he surveyed the ceiling, before returning to the other side of the counter and then exiting the establishment with only his crow bar in hand.
