Jackson Police report jewelry store heist at Jackson Premium Outlets

A man and woman reportedly robbed the Zales outlet store in Jackson Township at gunpoint at around 8:45pm this evening.  Jackson Township Police Chief said an armed robbery had been committed prompting a Jackson Township and New Jersey State Police response.     Between $20,000 and $30,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen. 

Witnesses describe a black man roughly six feet tall weighing approximately $175 pounds as the person who used the gun during the robbery.  He was wearing a white and blue polo shirt with horizontal lines.

He was accompanied by a black woman approximately five feet and five inches tall weighing approximately 140 poinds wearing a white hat as the accomplice who was carrying a shopping bag according to the Jackson Police Department.

The outlets are located in the northwest section of Jackson Township, approximately one mile from Six Flags Great Adventure on Route 537.  The outlets are also located a few hundred feet from the exit 16 ramp of Interstate 195.
