New Jersey State Police warn of falling trees on roadways

The New Jersey State Police are warning resident to stay off roads after numerous reported trees and powerline falls throughout the region.   The risk of a tree falling on your vehicle remains very high, according to a release issued by the NJSP this morning.

“Please make every effort to stay off the roadways throughout the night.  If you are at a residence other than your own try to make arrangements to stay there and re-evaluate the situation in the morning.”  said Julian Castellanos.

The roads are starting to flood and visibility is also an issue.  The ground is extremely saturated and we have concerns over trees
falling onto roadways.
