Seaside Heights to host baby parade on Saturday
The Seaside Heights Business Improvement District will hold its 1st Annual Ocean County Baby Parade in Seaside Heights on Saturday, October 1, 2011.
Parade staging area is on the Boardwalk and Sherman Avenue in front of the Aztec Ocean Resort. It will begin at 11:00 a.m.; children will receive their entry numbers at this time. Pre-registration is required to be judged at the event. Children will be judged on personality, poise and creativity. Rules and regulations for the parade are as follows:
- Adults may accompany the entry, but must be dressed in proper attire.
- No pets allowed in the parade
- Entries must be 6 years of age or younger
Awards will be given out to girls and boys for first, second and third place. In addition are awards for family theme, original theme and twins/triplets. Awards will be given out immediately following the parade at the Franklin Avenue Stage.
The winners are welcome to participate in the Ocean County Columbus Day Parade, October 9, 2011. Rain date for Baby Parade is Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
