Letter to the Editor: Brick Needs You!

I am writing this letter to appeal to Toms River Magazine to come to my hometown of Brick!  I had heard rumors that you were coming here soon, but I am sick of the local newspapers ignoring our children’s sports and leaning towards crime, politics and other bad news.  It’s why I stopped reading local online news sites like the Asbury Park Press and AOL Patch.

Today, I was disgusted when I saw an article in the Brick Patch about their one year anniversary. It celebrated the bad things that happened in the town as a feather in their cap for “Being the one who delivered the muck to our browser”.

There was no mention of the great achievements of our children in our schools, local sports accomplishments or the good things that our local leaders have done over the last year.

In my opinion, AOL Patch has been a disgrace to our community and it’s no wonder they are slow in getting our fine local businesses to support their filth.

Please, when are you coming to Brick? Is it true?
