Elderly woman’s purse snatched at Pathmark Shopping Center

Officer Ron Karkovice is investigating ther theft of a purse from a shopping cart in the Pathmark Shopping Center 10 am Saturday.  A 84 year old Toms River woman was unloading her shopping cart when a white female 5’5” dark hair and a wearing a dark jacket asked if she was done with her cart.  The suspect then told the victim she dropped money and when the vicitm looked down the suspect grabbed her purse from the cart and ran.  The suspect then got into the drivers side of a tan vehicle and fled the lot. Along with identification and credit cards the purse conatined $100.
