Burglar takes off with cemetery’s work van in Toms River

Officer Mark DeGrandis and Detective James Magovern are investigating the theft of a 1999 White GMC Savannah Van from Saint Mary Lakes Cemetery on Massachussetts Avenue, that occurred over the weekend. The van has a white metal roof rack, had no hub caps and had magnetic signs “St.  Mary of the Lake Parish Community, Lakewood on both doors.  Also in the van were two burial set up kits including grass carpets, casket lowering device, chairs and tents valued at over $6000.  Anyone with information can contact Detective James Magovern at 349-0150 ext 1213.
