Toms River Police Blotter: Theft & Assault at Spirits Unlimited

Toms River police are investigating a theft and assault that occurred 10 pm Wednesday night.  Two suspects entered the sprits liquor store and attempted to purchase a case of beer.  The clerks refused without proper documentation of legal age to purchase.  One suspect a black female about 115 lbs 5’ 2” got into the vehicle a red range rover.  The second suspect a black female 5’ 4” wearing a tan coat and blue jeans became belligerent and took a case of Heineken beer and exited the store without payment.  When confronted by a clerk this female threw the case of beer on the ground and stuck the employee in the face.  According to Michael Foy the investigating officer the range rover then fled south on route #9.  The employee re4fused medical attention and anyone with information can call Captain Bruce Burgess at 349-0150 ext 1200.
