Black Male Assaults White Woman in Assault in Toms River

Toms River, NJ  - A 38 year old money island woman reported that she was assaulted while walking on Whittier Avenue near Poe Avenue.   She reported to Officer George Fernicola that a  rear passenger ,  a black male in a newer white 4 door vehicle thru a cup of soda and ice at her striking her face.  The victim was transported to Community Medical center by Toms River Police EMS for a face injury.  The victim did not recognize the suspect or two other black females who were in the vehicle.  Any information contact the Captain Bruce Burgess of the Detective Bureau at 349-0150 ext 1200.
