Toms River Police Arrest Two Men on Vehicle Theft and Arson Charges
Toms River, NJ – Detective James Magovern has arrested Armere Caruso 18 of 2116 Dolly Road and Daniel Sanchez 19 of 557 Coolidge Avenue Toms River and charged them with two counts of vehicle theft and aggravated arson. Both of these suspects have been arrested and are lodged in Ocean County jail on $50,000 no 10%.
On December 30th the suspects removed a 2007 Honda from the driveway of a residence on Nevada Drive and the vehicle was later recovered in woods across from the East Dover Little League, Investigation found that the keys were removed from the unlocked car two weeks prior to the theft and that the suspects came back and then stole the vehicle and attempted to set in on fire when it became stuck in the woods. On January 14 the suspects entered an unlock ford located the keys and removed the vehicle. That vehicle was later recover after Toms River Fire Company 1 & 2 responded to a fire in the Brown Property off Washington Street. The ford flex was destroyed after being set on fire. A 15 year old juvenile has also been charged with arson and vehicle theft.
