Citation Issued After 4 Vehicle Collision on Bay Avenue

On Sunday night police responded to a four vehicle motor vehicle crash on Bay Avenue near Linda Drive just after 9 p.m.   Kate Benedetti 27  of Cayman Avenue Shelter Cove was eastbound on Bay Avenue when she was adjusting the heat in a 2007 Toyota she was operating and left the roadway and struck a parked 2008 Mazda.  That Mazda then was forced into the rear of a 2002 Mazda which then struck the rear of a 1986 Honda accord.  There were no injuries in the accident that severely damaged all four vehicles that had to be towed from the scene.  Ms. Benedetti was issued a summons for careless driving by investigating Traffic Safety Officer Robert Westfall .
