Toms River Planning Board Approves Route 37 McDonalds Expansion

On January 4, 2012, the Township of Toms River Planning Board adopted a Resolution memorializing the approval of the application for a Minor Site Plan with Variances to the Applicant, McDonald’s USA, LLC for their restaurant  which is located at 371 Route 37 East, Toms River

McDonalds was granted approval to remodel the existing McDonald’s, fast food restaurant building, by adding a 130 square foot addition. The drive-thru lane and takeout window will be reconfigured and upgraded. The company proposed improvements to the existing parking lot that will reduce the number of parking spaces from 54 to 44, as well as, provide additional storm drainage, site signage, and the relocation of the existing trash enclosure. The planning board also granted several variances for setbacks, aisle widths, landscaping, curbing and signage.
The Resolution approving the application along with all plans and related documents are on file in the Township of Toms River Township Planning Board Office and can be requested at the Clerk’s Office located at 33 Washington Street, Toms River, New Jersey, and are available for public inspection during regular business days and hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.
