Charges Pending After Toms River Woman Drives into Two Utility Poles and Home
At 4 a.m. police responded to an accident where a vehicle left the road and struck two utility poles then a house on James street. A 42 year old Toms River woman was, according to a witness, behind her vehicle eastbound on James Street in a 2001 Jeep. The jeep struck a utility pole on the south side of the intersection then drove in reverse and stuck a utility pole on the north side of the road and then went forward again striking a stop sign and struck the porch of 161 James Street. The woman was transported to Community Medical Center with minor injuries . Officer Adam Koeppen issued summons for Failure to maintain lane, failure to wear a seatbelt and reckless driving and other charges are pending.
