Toms River: OCC Offers Nursing Prep Course

By attending a Substitute School Nurse Training Institute, School Relations at Ocean County College can help you prepare to become a substitute school nurse in just one day!  Class meets on Saturday, March 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room 105, Nursing Building, OCC Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.

 

This 7-hour training seminar helps prepare nurses to become substitute school nurses. Licensed New Jersey RN’s will learn how to employ successful nursing techniques, procedures and skills; gain and sustain appropriate rapport with students; and clearly articulate doctors’ orders and procedures.  Participants will update their clinical skills.

 

Class participants must: be a New Jersey licensed Registered Nurse and provide a copy of current valid RN License; have at least 60 college credits and provide an official transcript in a sealed envelope; successfully undergo a criminal background check; and provide proof of a negative Mantoux (TB) test.

 

Cost: $100.

 

Registration Deadline: March 2.
