Toms River Police Investigating Silverton Robbery

Toms River police are investigating robbery that occurred just before 630 p.m.  Monday night at the Asby News Hooper Avenue in Silverton.      A  white male about 6’ 3” wearing dark clothing, sunglasses and a dark hat approached a female clerk and demanded money.  The suspect then after taking about $200 in cash then fled on foot to the rear of the shopping center.

The clerk  a 50 year old Toms River woman  did not observe a weapon and was not injured in the robbery.  Police are investigating if there is any relationship to the robbery of a pizza delivery man that occurred on Periwinkle Street in Silverton on Friday night.

Investigating are Officer Jason Stallworth,  Detectives Louis Santora, John Bajcic and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
