Toms River’s Frazier Starts Spring Training on a High Note With Home Run
1998 Toms River Little League World Series champion Todd Frazier took his final workout last week at All-Star Sports Academy in Toms River before heading to Goodyear, Arizona for the Cincinnati Reds’ spring training camp. Frazier, who hit 6 home runs in just 112 at bats and saw playing time in the outfield and at third base hopes to show manager Dusty Baker and the Reds that he’s ready for another shot in the big leagues. After arriving in Arizona last weekend, Frazier looked good in his first at bat in an intra-squad game sending a Aroldis Chapman slider over the fence. It was Chapman, who two years ago nailed Fraizer with a fast ball that took Todd out of commission for about a week. Frazier joked, saying it felt good to finally get payback.
Before leaving Toms River, Todd took a few minutes with our own TJ Perl to talk baseball.
