Copper Thief Steals Plumbing from Under Home in Toms River, Leaves Water Running

A Bay Stream Drive resident noticed water coming from the home of a neighbor, called the neighbor to let them know about their leak.   After contacting a plumber, the homeowner hired a plumber to fix the leak.   Upon inspection, the plumber found that copper pipes were removed and stolen from the crawlspace of the home.    Officer Michael Gallipoli investigating the theft that took place sometime during the last couple of days, reports the plumber estimates the 50 feet of pipe is valued at $1500.
