Washington Street Shut Down by Accident on Tuesday

On Tuesday, Toms River Police  Officer Frank Lauria investigated an accident that occurred at Washington Street and Lexington Avenue.  A 17  year old driver was  westbound on Washington Street in a Toyota Pickup truck when a Honda Pilot operated by 19 year old  Jennifer Durando of Point Pleasant made a left turned onto eastbound Washington Street from Lexington Avenue after stopping at the stop sign.  The Honda overturned after the crash where there were no injuries but traffic eastbound was detoured for approximately 30 minutes.
