Occupant of Vehicle With New York Plates Reportedly Seen Waving Gun on Route 37 in Toms River

At 2 p.m. on Friday police were advised of a road rage incident on 37 west near Saint Catherine Blvd.  The caller advised dispatch that occupants of a Altima with New York Plates waved a handgun and were eastbound on Route #37 .  A short time later Sergeant Chris Dudzik observed the suspect vehicle and along with other Officers conducted a felony stop on the car on Route #37 near the K-Mart shopping plaza. Two 19 year old  occupants of the car volunteered to have the vehicle searched but officers did not locate the weapon that the witness reported he observed.
