All in the Family: 10 running for Toms River School Board

Ten individuals have filed petitions to run for open seats on the Toms River Regional Schools’ Board of Education.   Incumbents Gus Kakavas and Jack Reuther,  two remaining “Ritacco Era” board members will be seeking to keep their seats in a field that includes the husband of a current school board member.

Joe Torrone, the husband of board member Loreen Torrone has submitted his petition to run.

Brian Geoghegan, who works as a police officer in Jackson Township, is also running.  Geoghegan ran in 2011 and received 2,047 votes.

Also running: Lisa Neumann, Charlotte Spillane, Sergio Fossa and Ginny Rhine.  South Toms River will see a face off between incumbent Jamie Jubert and Gidalty Esparza.
