Lifeguards Rescue Swimmers From Rip Currents in Ocean Beach

Police responded to a call that 5 people were in the Ocean were in  some distress in the Ocean Beach Section of the Township Saturday afternoon. A 27 year old Scotia New York man was rescued along with two other swimmers who were caught in a rip at East Sea way.   The man was rescued by 6 off-duty lifeguards and a surfer and were brought to shore within 10 minutes of the distressed swimmer call being received .   The victim was transported to Community Medical Center to be checked out after the incident .
