Violence Continues as Man Has Face Slashed in Seaside Heights Bar

At 2:30 am Saturday morning, a 36 Toms River man was the victim of an assault at the Riggers Bar in Seaside Heights, according to Detective Steve Korman.    The incident occurred inside the bar, located on the Boulevard in Seaside Heights.    Seaside Heights Patrol Officer Shawn Heckler and Luigi Violante responded.    The victim, who was not identified by police, was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River where he was treated and released.

The assailant remains at large.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact authorities at 732-793-1800.

Later that evening, a woman walking on the beach from Seaside Heights was assaulted by an unknown assailant.
