Monmouth County Motorcycle Club Delivers Truck Loads of Donations to Popcorn Park Zoo
This past weekend, June 16, the Monmouth County Chapter of Roughnecks delivered the results of their donation drive to us at Associated Humane Societies/Popcorn Park. The day was started with about 30 motorcycles arriving on Humane way followed by several trucks and vans loaded with donations collected throughout several weeks by the members. There wasn’t any donation overlooked for our animals in the shelter. The members and their families enjoyed a day at Popcorn Park followed by a barbeque in the picnic area. It was definitely enjoyed by everyone including staff and visitors that were invited to lunch courtesy of the Roughnecks.
“We would like to give a special thank you to Rob Caizza, former Popcorn Park employee, who organized and arranged for this fantastic day. The Roughnecks sold Popcorn Park bracelets they had made, and along with other donations were able to raise over $2,700.00 to benefit our animals. We can’t thank you all enough for the extraordinary effort put in to make this day a success and look forward to making it an annual event.”, park officials said.
