Seaside Heights Beach Patrol Offers Junior Lifeguard Academy

The Seaside Heights Beach Patrol will be offering the Junior Lifeguard Academy this summer for ages eight thru fifteen years old. Participants must be able to swim and ages can be flexible as per the program director.
The program begins Tuesday, July 9th and will continue through August 16th. Junior lifeguards will meet with Seaside Heights lifeguards every Monday and Wednesday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. at the Seaside Heights Beach Patrol headquarters located on the Boardwalk between Fremont and Kearney Avenues.
Participants will: workout with the lifeguards; learn ocean and beach safety; basic first aid; and operation of rescue equipment.  To register for the program apply at the Seaside Heights Beach Patrol headquarters located on the Boardwalk between Fremont and Kearney Avenues at 9:00 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The fee is $85.00 per child and a second family member is $40.00 plus a $5 donation for Breast Cancer Awareness, which includes a group photo, tee-shirt and pizza party at the end of the season.
