Toms River Little League Majors Win 2012 Mayor’s Trophies
The Toms River Little League Mets and Mariners have both won this year’s Mayor’s Trophy game in Toms River. While the Mariners defeated the Mets in the league championship, both times shined as they played their crosstown rivals. The Mets defeated the Toms River Little League Yankees 11-0 while the Mariners came out on top 5-1, against the Toms River East Little League Braves.
