Woman Drives into Telephone Pole After Cat Jumped Onto Her Seat

Toms River Police responded to a traffic crash at Old Freehold near Whitty road 83 Tuesday night.  Janelle Lewis 25 of Jackson was south on Old Freehold in a 2003 Cadillac went she went off the road striking a utility pole and a tree.  Janelle reported as she was driving her cat jumped on the floor on the driver’s side causing her to lose control of the car.  Neither Janelle or her cat were injuries but traffic and electric was effected for about 2 hours until utility workers could repair the utility pole.
