Using full sets, exquisitely crafted puppets and accompanied by Native American flute and drum recordings, this enchanting play is based on the life of the great Iroquois hero, Hiawatha. Hiawatha is portrayed as a curious young boy who decides to disobey his grandmother and seek a vision alone in the forest. There he finds a sacred cave and enters a magical world full of talking animals and fantastic spirits. He meets a wise Mohawk, The Peacemaker, who teaches him a wonderful lesson. At last, with the help of his friends, Bear and Turtle, Hiawatha discovers the pathway he must follow to become a great man.  Sponsored in part with funding from an OceanFirst Foundation Arts and Cultural Grant and the Ocean County Library Foundation.

Utilizando conjuntos completos,exquisitas marionetas y acompañado por flauta americana nativa y tambores. Esta obra encantadora es basada en la vida del gran héroe Iroquois, Hiawatha. Hiawatha es representado como un joven curioso que decide desobedecer su abuela y buscar una visión solo en el bosque. allí se encuentra una cueva sagrada y entra en un mundo mágico, lleno de animales que hablan y espíritus fantásticos. Se encuentra con un sabio mohawk, El Pacificador, que le enseña una lección maravillosa. Por último, con la ayuda de sus amigos, Oso y la tortuga, Hiawatha descubre el camino que debe seguir para convertirse en un gran hombre. Patrocinado en parte con fondos del Océano Primera Fundación de las Artes y la Cultura Donación y el Condado del Océano Fundación de la Biblioteca.
