Attempted Burglary Reported on Church Road in Toms River

Toms River–Toms River Police reponded to an alarm at a reidence in the 1300 block of Church Road near Old Freehold road 10 a.m. on Thursday.  ”An unknown subject apparently attempted to pry open a rear window and forced a screen to fall inot the bedroom of the home that activated the alarm,” according to Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy. “No apparent entry was made to the residence and the investigation of the attepted burgalry is being investigated by Officer Steven Austin.”
