Thieves Steal Car, Park it 5 Spaces Over, Remove Tire, Flee at Toms River Bus Station

Toms River–According to Toms River Police Chief, Michael Mastronardy, two men went through the effort to hot wire and steal a car at the Toms River Bus Terminal…to park it just four spaces away.    Instead of stealing the car, the men jacked up the car and stole a tire.

“Officer Ryan Rush  is investigating the theft of a tire from a vehicle at the Toms River Bus station that occurred 1 a..m. on Thursday morning.  Security video shows a black male wearing shorts , white sneakers and a white short sleeve shirt and another thin  black male white short sleeve shirt and a dark hat commit the theft of a tire from a 2001 Dodge,” Mastronardy said.  ” The suspects are observed breaking into the vehicle then starting it and removing it from space 267 and parked in space 271. The suspects then jack the car up remove the front tire then leave the parking lot.  The victim located his vehicle on Thursday morning parked in a the different parking space with the engine running and the vehicle jacked up.”
