August 2012 Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Field Service Arrest Blotter

The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department made (922) arrests from January 1, 2012 through August 31, 2012 and extradited (39) fugitives from out of state to face charges here inOceanCounty.

 (115) Subjects were arrested in August of those (33) were outstanding Child Support arrears totaling $493,999.90 and (2) were Fugitives from Justice.  Most are as follows:

Bayville

8/10/12 – Kenneth D. Ryno, age 41, of Scott Drive was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and H. Foltz on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $2,235.50. Ryno was processed and released after paying a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department.

8/14/12 – Elwood Kilroe, age 31, of Elizabeth Avenue was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives M. Groesch and J. Mercado on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $2,725.00. Kilroe was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/15/12 -  Ehren Von Wentzel, age 40, ofEisenhower  Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives K. Allmann and R. Johnson on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $9,011.35. Wentzel was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

Barnegat

8/3/12 – James Simpson, age 31, of Main Street was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and J. Mercado on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $4,438.43. Simpson was processed and released after paying a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department.

Beachwood

8/6/12 – Richard Kessler, 22, ofShip Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives M. Groesch and C. Watkins on three (3) Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for failure to appear and violation of probation on original charges of theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and forgery. Kessler was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.

8/27/12 – Carl N. Stives, age 45, ofBeachwood Boulevardwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives K. Allmann and R. Stark on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $3,469.00. Stives was processed and released after paying a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department.

Brick

8/2/12 – Gregory Miller, 53, ofJason Placewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives M. Groesch on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $2,470.00. Miller was processed, paid a reduced amount with the approval of the Ocean County Probation Department and subsequently released.

8/7/12 – Richard S. Carroll Jr., 34, ofCommodore Drivewas charged by Sheriff’s Detective S. Metta with being a Fugitive of Justice fromMonroeCounty, State ofPennsylvaniawhere he faces charges of violation of probation on original charges of theft and receiving stolen property. Carroll was lodged in the Ocean County Jail, pending extradition back to the State ofPennsylvania.

8/7/12 – Richard J. Huffman, age 49, of Rachel Court was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Stark and P. Sickinger on 3 Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for failure to pay child support in the amount of $107,214.97. Huffman was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/9/12 – Daniel P. Lenneper, 52, ofKenneth Placewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Johnson, P. Williams, R. Stark and P. Sickinger on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $8,032.23. Lenneper was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/13/12 – Wayne M. Adams, 49, ofPine Hammock Roadwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Williams and S. Metta on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to appear for a pre arraignment interview on original charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.Adamswas processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.

8/15-12- Imere Meredith, 19, of Sawmill Road was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on an Ocean County Superior Court warrant for attempted murder, unlawful weapon possession and possession of hand gun without a permit. Meredith was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $250,000.00 bail.

Forked River

8/6/12 – Patrick H. Garrison, age 34, of  Buena Vista Boulevard was arrested by Sheriff’s Detective/Sergeant J. Schevlin on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $12,342.28. Garrison was processed, paid a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department and subsequently released.

8/14/12 – Amanda L. Naia, 20, ofTampa Roadwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Johnson and C. Watkins on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to appear for violation of probation on original charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Naia was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.

Jackson

8/16/2012 – Willie A. Rivera, 39, ofBrewers Bridge Roadwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on several Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for eluding law enforcement officers, failing to stop for law enforcement officers, conspiracy, aggravated simple assault, forgery and non payment of child support. Rivera was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.

Lakewood

8/7/12 – Justin McCain, 28, ofJames Streetwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives J. Mercado and S. Metta on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $5,827.87. McCain was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/9/12 – Joseph DeRosa, 41, ofHemlock Courtwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Stark and P. Williams on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for violation of probation on original charges of resisting arrest. DeRosa was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in with no option for bail.

8/13/12 – Javier O. Ramos, 30, ofNew Egypt Roadwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives J. Mercado on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $5,690.54. Ramos was processed, paid a reduced purge with the approval of the Ocean County Probation Department, and subsequently released.

8/15/2012 – Germaine E. Evans, 28, ofLaurel Streetwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detective J. Mercado on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for assault and threatening to kill. Evans was processed, posted bail of $10,000.00 and subsequently released.

8/16/2012 – Kevin M. Riddle, 19, ofPinehurst Drivewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on several Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for eluding law enforcement officers, failing to stop for law enforcement in the second and third degrees, and failure to appear for a status conference on these charges. Riddle was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.

8/17/12 – James Bivins III, 19, ofMarlin Drivewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on two (2) Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for violation of probation on original charges of possession of a hand gun, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Bivins was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 combined bail.

8/30/12 – William J. Woodward, 30, ofSixth Streetwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Williams and C. Watkins on a Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Intensive Supervision Program. Woodward was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail.

8/9/12 – Mary Beth A. Rogers, 35, ofNorth Main Streetwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Johnson and P. Sickinger on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $10,452.00.Rogerswas processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/20/12 – Robert Jeanotte, 34, ofWinged Foot Courtwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detective S. Moore on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $20,885.22. Jeanotte was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/14/12- A 16 year old female juvenile was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives J. Mercado and M. Groesch on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for three charges of simple assault. The female juvenile was processed and lodged in theJuvenileDetentionCenterpending first appearance.

8/29/12 – Steve C. Grotts, 23, ofLake Champlain Drivewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and P. Williams on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $4,641.00. Grotts was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

Manahawkin

8/29/12 – A male juvenile, 18, ofNautilus Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and P. Williams on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to appear

for a status conference on original charges of aggravated assault. The juvenile was lodged in juvenile detention center with no option of bail.

Manchester

8/14/12 – Robert P. Neal, 54, ofWoodchuck Parkwaywas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Williams and R. Stark on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $6,000.00. Neal was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/14/12 – Walter J. Iovino, 41, ofWyoming Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Williams and K. Allmann on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $36,281.00. Iovino was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/31/12 – Patrick Sweeney, 50, ofMartin Streetwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and P. Williams on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for violation of probation on original charges of aggravated arson in the second degree. Sweeney was lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option of bail.

8/6/12 – Richard Voelker, 53, ofBayview Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Stark and P. Williams on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $12,468.00. Voelker was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/14/12 – Peter Rasper, 54, ofJohn F. Kennedy Boulevardwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Johnson and C. Watkins on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $1,390.00. Rasper was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/17/12 – Jaime L. Okane, 20, ofDuPont Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives R. Johnson and E. Skieczius on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for violation of probation on original charges of theft by unlawful taking. Additionally Okane had Municipal traffic warrants out of the towns of Lacey andTomsRiver. Okane was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $20,000.00 combined bail.

8/30/12 – Lisa Marie Narciso, 20, ofGrant Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives K. Allmann, M. Petrucelli and J. Mercado on two (2) Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and shoplifting. Narciso was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 combined bail.

8/30/12 – Derrick K. Portee, 40, ofFreemont Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives J. Mercado, K. Allmann and M. Petrucelli on a Cumberland County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $10,401.87. Portee was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/30/12 – George Clauss, 46, ofBarnegat Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Sickinger and R. Stark on a Cumberland County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $9,503.98. Clauss was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/30/12 – Rita Sorensen, 49, ofHiering Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives K. Allmann, M. Petrucelli and J. Mercado an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to appear for a status conference on original charges of theft. Sorensen was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $35,000.00 bail.

8/28/12 – Danita Whitfiled, 27, ofThird Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives K. Allmann and R. Stark on a Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Intensive Supervision Program. Whitfield was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail.

8/9/2012 – Zahid S. Evans, 23, ofChatham Drivewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for hindering in the second degree. (Issuing false statements to law enforcement in a homicide investigation) Evans was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.

8/15/2012 – Christian Powell, 48, ofSecond Avenuewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and sexual assault as guardian of a child. Powell was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $200,000.00 bail.

8/16/12 – Daniel Spitzli, 27, ofBowling Greene Drivewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives K. Allmann and R. Stark on a Superior Court Warrant for failure to comply with the Intensive Supervision Program. Spitzli was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail.

8/22/12 – Jamaar Oliver, 24, ofHoneysuckle Courtwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on a State ofNew Jersey State Parole Board Warrantfor persistently violating parole conditions. Oliver was processed and turned over to NJ State Parole.

8/24/12 – Herbert Tosun, 57, ofLumsden Courtwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals T. Duffy and R. Trainor on an out of State Superior Court Warrant from Tulsa, Oklahoma for the crime of false pretense over $500.00 or  a con game. Tosun was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail with no option for bail, pending extradition back to the State ofOklahoma.

8/27/12 – Dennis P. Chafatelli, 33, ofTwelfth Streetwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and J. Mercado on two (2) Ocean County Superior Court Warrants for failure to pay child support in the amount of $182,686.63. Chaftelli was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/28/12 – Daniel Dimmick, 45, ofWalnut Creek Lanewas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives P. Sickinger and M. Petrucelli an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $24,360.00. Dimmick was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending first appearance.

8/7/12 – Gregory Holtz, 42, ofAsh Roadwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives M. Groesch on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for failure to pay child support in the amount of $1,500.00. Additionally Holtz had two Municipal warrants out ofWoodlandTownshipandBassRiver. Holtz was processed, posted bail, paid a reduced purge approved by the Ocean County Probation Department and subsequently released.

8/16/12 – Manuel Pereria, 49, ofWells Mills Roadwas arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives C. Watkins and R. Johnson on a Superior Court Warrant for tampering with public records and information with purpose to defraud the Motor Vehicle Commission. Pereria was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.

Out of County

8/8/12 – John W. Dames, age 37, of Randolph Avenue, Rahway, NJ was arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives/Deputy US Marshals R. Trainor and T. Duffy on an Ocean County Superior Court Warrant for conspiracy in the second degree for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, with intent to distribute, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer by automobile, resisting and eluding arrest. Dames was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $200,000.00 bail.
