Passing Storm Causing More Problems for Rain Soaked County Communities

Toms River-A storm passing through Ocean County has created more flooding problems for local communities who have been drenched since Sunday.   In Lakehurst, rains and flooding have forced the closure of the Eisenhower Circle on Route 70.   In Toms River, a home on Todd Road was reportedly struck by lightning as the storm passes through the area.

Another weather warning has been issued by the National Weather Service cautioning residents about the impending thunderstorms.   Rain is expected to be heavy at times with flooding possible.  Wind gusts can reach up to 40mph.  The storm is accompanied by frequent lightning.   Behind the initial storm burst, thunder storms may develop.
