Couple Seen Salvaging Metal from Wreckage of Fatal Fire in Berkeley

Berkeley–Early this morning, a resident at the home of 35 Biabou Drive had perished in a fire that completely gutted the home in Holiday City at Berkeley.   Before sunset, metal scrappers were pulling whatever they can from wreckage.   In this shocking photo, caught by a Toms River Magazine photographer on scene, a man in a pickup truck loads the garage doors of the home into the back of his truck, most likely knowing a person perished just hours earlier.   When approached for comment, the man, and a woman passenger sped away from the scene.  The incident was reported to the Berkeley Township Police Department.

Traffic along Biabou Drive was much heavier and younger during the day as people drove past for a look at the home.
