Jackson Writer Showcases Pine Barrens Books at Beach Plum Festival

Island Beach–Jackson resident Karen Riley has written three books on the Pine Barrens, now affectionately referred to as  the Pinelands, and was on hand at this year’s Beach Plum Festival at Island Beach.   Riley has written “The Pine Barrens of New Jersey”, a book in the “Images of America” series, Voices in the Pines and Whispers in the Pines.   Whispers in the Pines focuses on the secrets of Colliers Mills in Jackson Township while Voices in the Pines is a general Pine Barrens folklore book.  All three are perfect for those who enjoy learning about local history and folklore.
Check out Karen’s books here.
