Toms River MVA Blamed on Alleged Drunk Driver

Toms River–Officer Kyle Martucci is investigating an accident that occurred at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Hazelwood and Neville Street.

William Leriche, 21, of Toms River was traveling east on Hazelwood Street  in a 2001 Ford Explorer and reported that a dark vehicle went thru a stop sign and cut his vehicle off.  Mr. Leriche stated that when he took evasive action he lost control of the explorer on the wet roadway and it rolled onto its side.  There were no injuries in the accident and the second vehicle did not stop.
