Toms River Police Looking for Man Who Attempted to Rob WaWa Near Manchester

Toms River–Toms River Police are looking for a white male with brown hair and wearing a dark t-shirt , long blue jean shorts, black sneakers with silver rings on both thumbs and a tattoo on right neck.  Police say the man  attempted to rob the clerk at the Wawa at 37 and Northampton Avenue at  10 p.m. Saturday night.  The suspect appeared under the influence according to the clerk when he pulled a steak knife and demanded money.  When she stated she was calling the police he left the knife and left the area on a blue females mongoose bike towards Pine Lake Park.  Anyone with information can contact officer Pascal Gambardella or Detective Louis Santora at 349-0150 ext 1276.
