Jersey Shore AYF Game of the Week: Jackson vs. Toms River Angels
Toms River–The Pee Wee Red team of the Jackson Jaguars AYF, traveled to High School East in Toms River for our Week 3 “AYF Game of the Week”. In the first quarter, on the opening drive, Jackson got on top quick when running back Nicholas Zanghi ran the ball 30 yards for the first touchdown.
In the second quarter, Jackson quarterback Brandon Lombana tacked on two more touchdowns with two sprints into the endzone. The first for 25 yards and the second for 20 yards. Jackson took a commanding 20-0 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Nicholas DeMarco added a five yard run to cap off the scoring for the day. The Jaguar defense held off the Angels’ attack all evening long. ”Our Defense was hard hitting lead by linebackers Justin Martin-Culet, Devin Lee & AJ Tomachewich,” said Coach Mike DeMarco. Jackson’s Pee Wee Red team now improves to 3-0 on the season as they prepare to take on Howell Township this weekend.
