Toms River Blackhawks Hockey Club Hosting Dodge Ball Tournament

Toms River-(PR)–On Sunday, September 30, 2012, the Toms River Blackhawks Hockey Club is hosting its first annual ‘Faceoff’ Dodgeball Tournament in “the Athlete Underground” at All-Star Sports Academy, 1740 Route 9, Toms River, beginning at 3:00 p.m. The tournament is open to the general public for anyone 8 years of age and older.

Food will be available for purchase during the tournament, and prizes will be awarded to the tournament winner, as well as for the Best Team Name and Best Team Uniform. The proceeds from the tournament will allow the Blackhawks to provide more opportunities for local youth hockey.
Official tournament registration includes a 6-8 person team roster with team name and registration fee of $75.00. For appropriate bracketing purposes, registrations should be submitted to: FACEOFF, c/o All-Star Sports Academy, 1740 Route 9, Toms River, NJ 08755, NO LATER than Wednesday, September 26. Teams not officially registered by September 26th will be admitted to the tournament on a limited, first-come, basis.
All-Star Sports Academy, the only sports performance and family fitness facility in Ocean County, is the official strength and conditioning center for the Toms River Blackhawks Hockey Club teams. Other notable clients who also utilize the Athlete Underground’s training include Cincinnati Reds’ Todd Frazier, UFC contenders Frank ‘the Answer’ Edgar and Nick“the Jersey Devil” Catone, the Rutgers University Wrestling Team, Stanford University’s Meredith Kalinowski, former TRHS East Lacrosse Captain, Div. 1 Elon University’s Freshman Tight End Jesse Tate, former TRHS North Mariner Captain, and All- American Swimmer and MDHS Alum Ashley Conroy.
