iPads Stolen from Lakewood High School

Lakewood–On Saturday night, Lakewood Police reported that the Lakewood High School was broken into and iPads were stolen.   Police responded to a 10:26 p.m. alarm at the school.    Upon investigation, Patrolman Marzocca and other officers found a broken window.  Ocean County CIU investigated the incident.

On August 30, 2012, the Lakewood School District approved a $104,373 purchase of 7 Apple iPad Learning Labs, containing 210 iPads.     That purchase was paid for by a United States Department of Education School Improvement Grant.

It has not been confirmed if these were the items stolen on Saturday.
