Lakewood & Toms River Police Arrest Driver with Reported Gun

Lakewood–At approximately 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Toms River and Lakewood Police stopped a vehicle heading south on Route 9, near the intersection of Cross & Chestnut Street after a report of an armed driver in the vehicle.

Approximately 10 police officers from both towns stopped the vehicle and removed the occupants at gun point, according to the Lakewood Scoop.

No gun was found, but the driver was arrested for unknown warrants.

Police were notified that the driver reportedly point a gun at another person’s head.
