Toms River Police Chief Gives Evening Storm Report

Toms River-A passing storm has caused problems across Toms River this evening.  Trees are reported down on Maguide Drive, Homestead, Mule Road, Pine Hill, Cedar Grove Road, Brookside Drive, Edken and Holiday Court.  Wires are reported down on Whitetail, 15th Street in Silverton and Colonial Drive.   A transformer fire was reported at the Americana Motel on Route 166.

This afternoon, two people stuck on elevators at JC Penny were rescued and one person was rescued from an elevator at 1027 Hooper avenue, Building 5.
