Not Fast Enough; Police Catch Man in the Act of Burglary at Nail Salon

Toms River-Toms River Police arrested Edwardo Lopez, 49, of Toms River while he was burglarizing a business Nice Nails in the Stella Plaza West shopping center.

Police received information that a man had  just smashed the front door of the business and was inside the store just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

Sergeant Eugene Bachonski responded within minutes and observed Mr. Lopez in the business attempting to remove a plasma television from the wall.  The suspect then went to run out towards the back of the store.  Mr. Lopez was immediately apprehended as he exited the rear door by Officers Scott Duncan and Philip Bianco, along with Detective Brian Lomer and Sergeant Scott Moeller.   Mr. Lopez is being held in Ocean County Jail on $50,000 no 10% on charges of Burglary and criminal mischief.
