Toms River North Student Named Semifinalist in National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

The Board recognized Michael Pavliv, HSN student for being named Semi Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Semi Finalists are recognized as one of 16,000 students nationally for exceptionally high achievement on the PSATs. A selection score greater than 202 in a combination of Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing is needed to be named a Commended Scholar. Michael will now have the opportunity to continue in the Merit Scholarship competition and advance to Finalist standing by meeting a number of additional requirements.
