Video Released of Brick Drunk Driver Fleeing Scene of Accident in Lakewood

Lakewood, NJ-(via TLS)-The Lakewood Scoop, this afternoon released a video of a Brick Township woman fleeing the scene of an accident on Wednesday.  Speeding by local children and families, the woman was later captured and arrested in Jackson for Driving While Intoxicated.

The woman, according to witnesses was speeding down the dead end road of St Katherine Street in Lakewood. “It was a Nes (miracle) that no children were injured,” the neighbor told The Lakewood Scoop. “The street was full of children playing at the time.”

Officers assisted Lakewood Police in attempting to locate a vehicle suspected of being involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash in Lakewood.  The vehicle was located on Violet Lane.  During the investigation, the driver, 52 year old Dawn Villano of Brick, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and the vehicle was impounded.  She was processed at police headquarters and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Wear Seatbelt and having an open alcoholic container in the vehicle.  She was released on summons pending a court appearance.
