Ocean County News; The new face of news in Ocean County, written by the people and for the people who live in our towns. We’ll NEVER throw you to the curb.

Toms River–Ocean County News is a website managed by Toms River Magazine and Jackson Township Magazine, delivering Ocean County news since 2008.   We’ve recently expanded our coverage to include ALL of Ocean County due to popular demand.

In early September, we launched the Ocean County Police Blotter on facebook which has instantly grown to over 11,500 daily readers in just 20 days!

This week, we announced our Ocean County News facebook page.

It’s a place where ANYONE can be the reporter.   We’re accepting ALL kinds of news, and submissions are easy to make, just go to http://www.facebook.com/OceanCountyNews and Like the page , start posting your news, events, sports, scores and notices for the community.

In 2008, we launched our first community news website in Jackson.  Being lifelong Ocean County residents, we all felt that our towns are severely under served by the big mega-billion dollar corporations that cover our towns.

We’re not 1,000 towns nationwide, we’re HERE.  We’re Ocean County…Only Ocean County… We’re all volunteers who love the news and love to know whats REALLY going on in our towns.  Free from corporate reigns, we are truly 100% independent and we are AUTHENTICALLY LOCAL!

All of our writers and contributors are people in your neighborhood.  We all live and work right here in Ocean County. Our kids play Little League baseball, AYF Football and Cheer and go to schools here in Ocean County in Toms River, Jackson, Brick, Plumsted and Manchester.

We’re offering this space up as a free service to everyone who lives in Ocean County and to all businesses, charities, leagues, civic groups to post events, news on your groups, photos and more!
