5th Annual Wounded Warrior Parade to be Held in Jackson

Jackson–The Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club, located on Stump Tavern Road in Jackson, will be hosting their 5th Annual Wounded Warrior event on Saturday October 13, 2012.  Starting at approximately 9:00am, Wounded Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan War, along with veterans from Vietnam, Korea and WW II will be assembling at the Justice Complex in Jackson as they will be getting ready for their ride over to the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club for Jackson Townships 5th Annual Warrior parade.  Each year we have such an outstanding turnout that Mayor Reina is requesting everyone to join him again this year. All residents, organizations and clubs, including those from neighboring towns can line up from the Justice Complex on West Veterans Highway to the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club as a sign of support and to honor our Heroes. Mayor Reina said, “With the sacrifices that these soldiers have made for us and our Country, being there for them will reinforce our support and gratitude towards them and their brothers and sisters still in harm’s way. Showing up will take only minutes out of your day but will last a lifetime in their hearts.”

The Warriors will be escorted to the Club range by the Jackson Township Police Department, available Fire Districts, additional Emergency Medical Staff, Motorcycle groups, as well as many other grateful individuals volunteering to show support for these brave soldiers.   Any other agencies that can spare their manpower and equipment are invited to join the procession as a further show of support. The escort should leave the Justice Complex around 9:30 am. Mayor Reina who is also a member of the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club said he looks forward to spending even more time this year at the club alongside these courageous men and women. Spectators will be asked to safely park their cars along the roads; this will allow them to line the travel route so the Soldiers can see them. Any agency, club or group wishing to take part in this wonderful show of support should contact Mayor Reina’s office at 732-928-1200 ext.1211. All Wounded Warriors and Veterans from any War who are interested in attending should email Al Dolce at njgunfun@gmail.com. Mayor Reina is asking everyone to help make this a memorable day for all our Wounded Warriors by having as many people as possible participate by lining up on the travel route on October 13th.
