Creative Experience: A Tropical Nightclub for Kids

Point Pleasant Beach–Using creativity and the arts to promote a positive self-esteem, Creative Experience Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens hosts customizable parties for all ages. Started in 1994 by owner Marie Struble, Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens proves how something good can come out of something bad. “The early 90s were a very turbulent time in my life. I started the Creative Experience to fill two voids, financial insecurity and a personal need to feel valued, an element that was lacking in my life at that point,” Struble candidly shares. “Even this many years into my business, every time I have a birthday celebration and make someone feel special, I feel fulfilled. Building self-esteem in others helped me build mine.”
When her business first opened its doors, Struble, a state-licensed art teacher, remembers the initial weeks passing without a single phone call. After praying for a sign to assure her that she had chosen the right path, Struble finally received a call, one that led her to do a job wherein she met Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities. To her benefit, as well as to the benefit of the many special people and organizations who have had their unforgettable parties at Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens over the past 18 years, this was a sign for Struble that Creative Experience was meant to continue.
At Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens, people of all ages, including adults, can enjoy celebrations in an alcohol-free night club setting. In addition to birthdays, Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens is a celebration hot spot for graduations, sweet 16s, bar and bat mitzvahs, communions, confirmations, quintanas, and any other excuse to have a party. It also serves as a popular location for field trips for school classes, scouts, social organizations, and camps. Off site, Creative Experience extends DJ services for outside special events, such as pool and block parties.
Festive amenities at Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens include a glow-in-the-dark party blast, snow, costumes and wigs, funky party hair, music and dancing, video artistry, cotton candy, face painting and body artistry, caricatures, and art parties. Rooted in theatre, art, and music, parties can be customized to accommodate party guests’ personal requests through various packages available. Entertainment provided is a combination of DJ music, videos, videography, and games; customer personalization is offered, from music playlists to customized party invitations. Bus transportation is also available, and guests are welcome to incorporate catering from local restaurants to include party foods such as pizza, subs, and ice cream and bakery birthday cakes. Photos and videos capturing guests’ special occasions are also available.
Many schools and civic organizations use Creative Experience for their fundraisers. Struble very willingly and happily donates birthday parties for children in special situations that could not otherwise afford to have a party, including children who have disabilities and children suffering through emotional tragedies. Tropical Night Club for Kids and Teens hosts fundraisers supporting the Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer and a “Spring Sing for a Cure” to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Beyond parties, the venue regularly schedules other seasonal special events, including their summer open mic nights, mindfulness workshops, and improv comedy nights for kids. Struble also extends art lessons.
