Jackson Police Blotter: September 23, 2012

During the course of a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the WaWa on East Veterans Highway and Hope Chapel Road, officers placed a 24 year old male resident of Lakewood under arrest for Possession of Marijuana.

The male was processed at police headquarters and released on summons pending a court date.  The vehicle was impounded pending further investigation.

-     A resident of Wild Dunes Way made a report of Burglary and Criminal Mischief.  It was reported that unknown person(s) damaged a window and front door  attempting to make entry to the residence.  It did not appear at the time that entry was made or that anything had been taken.

-     A resident of Harmony Road made a report of an attempted burglary.  The resident reported that while he was at home, unknown person(s) opened a window at the residence to make entry.  This set off an audible alarm and it did not appear that entry was made.

-     During the course of a motor vehicle stop at the Jackson Crossings Plaza parking lot, officers arrested the 23 year old male driver of a 1990 Nissan for Driving While Intoxicated and impounded the vehicle.  The driver was processed at police headquarters and charged with DWI and released pending a court appearance.
